Sonar System Gives Phones All-Over Touch Sensitivity

The system makes use of the phone’s existing microphone and speakers, and enables the device to have touch sensitivity all over the body and not just on the screen. The software triggers the phone’s speakers to emit a constant tone higher than 18 kHz, which can be detected by the phone’s mic. Applying force to the phone’s body will interfere with the sound vibrations and change the tone, which can be detected by the software and translated into a command.

I’m amazed, I have to admit. Seldom do I encounter a blog that’s equally educative and entertaining, and without a doubt, you have hit the nail on the head. I’d like to thank you for the efforts you’ve put in writing this site. I’m hoping to check out the same high-grade blog posts by you later on as well. In truth, your creative writing abilities has inspired me to get my very own blog now 😉
