Smart earplugs that block outside noise and sends alerts using app

The Smart earplug named as ‘Hush’ is a small, portable, yet powerful device to enjoy quietness anywhere, anytime. It was created by three engineering students from San Diego. Hush combines sound eliminating foam with noise masking to isolate you from your surrounding environment. It will also wake you up when needed with an alarm as it connects wirelessly with your smartphone Hush app.

Usually, the sound of an alarm wakes up everyone sleeping in the same room, though it is meant for only one person among them, thus causing a source of irritation for others. Hush earplugs aim to solve this problem by only playing the alarm directly in the wearer’s ears. They can also be programmed using the app to play a variety of sounds from white noise, to ocean waves and a crackling fire.
