A new trend has started in the film industry in India. Many men have recently become fathers via surrogate mothers. The trend was started by Aamir Khan and ShahRukh Khan who though happily married and having many children previously, decided to become new fathers via surrogate mothers.
Now, even single men like Tusshar Kapoor and Karan Johar have started becoming fathers via this route.
Could the reasons for this be unbearable pressure on men due to feminism or the desire to expand their family trees but no desire to take the responsibility of a woman ? Or is it that the small families of these men have created a tight bond with their parents and siblings and they do not want to be away from them by starting their own families. Could it be that their expectation from their life partner was too high.
Society needs to introspect the reasons for this trend and the impact on the children born to such single fathers.
