Self Watering Source

Gardening is a healthy practice as it serves multi purposes. More than anything else it is a great service to nature and provides a lot of recreation to one’s mind. Sometimes when we have to leave home for a longer duration and travel to longer distances, we definitely would be concerned regarding the health of plants in our gardens. We would like to make some alternate arrangements in our absence.

One such alternative is a self-watering container. You can do this with Terra Cotta Spike. This should be rooted deeply into the soil where you want the watering to be done. A wine bottle or a similar one filled with water should be put into the spike in upside down direction. The arrangement allows the water into the soil slowly keeping the zone moist to a greater period. This is a great effort as it saves plants and also saves water from being wasted unnecessarily.
