The Monarch Airway Clearance System from Hill-Rom lets users move about freely while undergoing their respiration therapy. The Monarch system was developed for patients with diseases like cystic fibrosis, who typically require therapy several times to a day to help move the mucus from their lungs. To allow these patients less disruption to their lives, the Monarch vest system will deliver high-frequency chest wall oscillation therapy with its eight “pulmonary oscillating discs” to move mucus out of the lungs. The vest-based system is battery-powered, for maximum mobility, and the patient’s treatment data can be shared with doctors and caregivers via WiFi.
