Like most men, I do not like to spend too much time shopping. Many times I have an idea of my waist size and purchase multiple trousers based on the waist size given on the label. Sometimes, I try it in the store and sometimes decide to check it later at home. Many times I realized the size is not exactly what I thought it should have been based on the label.
Recently I discussed this fact with an experienced tailor in New Jersey. He showed me 5 pants with the same size on the labels but measured it and showed that they actually were bigger by up to 3 to 4 inches. It appears the fashion industry keeps the size on the label smaller than the actual size to keep men happy!
