MAKE YOUR OWN SAFE SOAPS

Soaps we use for various purposes are not harmless.  Most of the time we don’t have the liberty and bandwidth to learn the truth behind the making of these soaps. Nonetheless, most of the time we don’t have a choice but to use some soap in our day to day lives.  Some frightening results of researches performed on soaps have been reported in recent times.

Some chemicals used in the making are proven to be cancer causing and life-threatening. Despite being labeled as organic and safe, it is hard to believe that most of the hand soaps are truly safe for use.

Why Traditional Soap Is “Toxic”

For instance, parabens are widely used toxic beauty ingredients because they prevent the growth of mold, yeast, and bacteria in products. Truly Shocking!!! These parabens have properties that ape estrogen and hence have been linked to increased risk of breast cancer. Another most frequently use toxic beauty element in soaps is sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS) or sodium laureth sulfate (SLES). It’s found in more than 90 percent of personal care and cleaning products.

Much soap comprises triclosan too — an antimicrobial chemical that is known to affect the endocrine system, including thyroid and reproductive hormones. It’s also a known skin irritant. Studies have shown that triclosan can make bacteria antibiotic-resistant, which poses a great risk to our future health. Triclosan is also commonly found in deodorant and toothpaste.

Why don’t we use soaps that can be made by us?  It is time to change our habits and our lives.
