Hydra-Light PL-500 Runs on Salt Water

The Hydra-Light PL-500 lantern and USB device charger is powered by salt water, eliminating the need for batteries. Adding salt water to the system will trigger a reaction, causing the PowerRod to oxidize and create an electric current. The PowerRod will slowly shrink over time as it is consumed, offering about 250 hours of power before needing to be replaced. Get more information.
