The Crayola clay pots take advantage of gravity and porous clay to keep plants hydrated automatically for weeks at a time. The Crayola pots are based on the cone-like shape of the Olla, Each pot is meant to bury in the dirt, near the plant’s roots, and then connected to a central water supply at a higher elevation. Once the water is set to running via a small pump, gravity will keep the flow moving through the pots as they slowly release only the amount of water needed to keep the soil properly moist.
