Elecrow, the developer of open-source hardware and educational products, has started to manufacture a Raspberry Pi-based laptop. This laptop has a STEAM learning lab below the keyboard. You can access the STEAM learning lab by removing the keyboard. Raspberry Pi is a computer in the form of a miniature version. This computer can be used by people of all ages, fond of exploring the computer and learning languages like python, scratch, etc.
STEAM learning lab motivates independent thinking, solving skills based on real-world problems and teamwork that stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics. The STEAM is available in 291 x 190 x 46-mm (11.4 x 7.5 x 1.8-in), 1.3-kg (2.8-lb) CrowPi2. CrowPi2 can be used as both the STEAM project lab and as a functional laptop. The STEAM learning lab is also present in the updated version of Eyecrow’s CrowPi. The CrowPi2’s QWERTY keyboard can be removed and used as a wireless input device; this feature allows you to play as well as study. This device has an IPS display resolution of 11.6-inch 1,920 x 1,080. This educational laptop is more than an electronic device. After removing the keyboard, the laptop consists of 22 sensors, a thumb joystick, exposed GPIO header from the Pi, a small breadboard, an LCD display, and an RGB LED matrix. If you have this educational laptop, you can mainly experiment with various kinds of stuff with hardware and programming.
The basic idea of making this educational laptop is to make learning fun and interesting. You can learn Scratch, Python, AI, Minecraft, and a lot more. This laptop includes 70 lessons on programming languages and more than 30 projects and games. The components present in this CrowPi2 laptop are 2-MP webcam and microphone on the top center, Stereo speakers, and 3.5 mm headphone jack. This laptop also has a wireless mouse as an additional component of those who don’t like to use the trackpad present in the keyboard. It also has space to insert a power bank, storage to install, etc. CrowPi2 laptop has an IR remote, a stepper motor, mini-fan, and RFID tags and cards to improve the learning experience.
