Monitoring Blood Sugar with Microwaves

An innovative device able to monitor blood glucose levels without blood samples could be a game changer for millions of people suffering from diabetes. The sensor attaches to the skin with adhesives, where it uses microwaves to measure glucose levels in the blood.

The data is then sent to a paired device for review. According to the team, the microwaves are quite safe, at about 1000 times less than the levels produced by a smartphone.
